Disappearing Acts by Isabella Bunnell | Waterstones

Each spread features a particular biome, from deserts and mountains to rain forests. A variety of creatures flood each spread, including several that are in danger of becoming extinct. Children are encouraged to search for the threatened species hidden among nonendangered ones. The searches do range in difficulty, with some more challenging than others. Back matter contains information regarding the location and status of each endangered animal, the reason for it being threatened, and the population known to be remaining. Often these numbers are distressingly small.
